START THE BACKGROUND CHECK:

Becoming a Howard County 4-H Volunteer is a fairly simple process.  However, our youth are our most valuable resource and we hold our volunteers to the highest standards of quality and safety.  For their protection we do require a letter of intent and a number of reference and safety checks for our ongoing volunteers.  After submission of your letter of intent you will be required to complete the following forms including: volunteer application, youth safety agreement, driving record check, child abuse registry check and criminal records check.  We also check the sex offender registry each year.
