Youth for the Quality Care of Animals

In today's world, food safety is one of animal producers' biggest responsibilities.  The goal of YQCA is to help youth and their parents better understand what they can do to produce the safest food possible.

All youth** (ages 8 to 21) exhibiting beef, swine, sheep, dairy cattle, goats (dairy or meat), poultry, or rabbits at the Harrison County Fair and the Iowa State Fair. ** 3rd graders are exempt.

YQCA certification needs to be completed by July 1.  When you do the web-based course, be sure to print your certificate and bring or email it to the Extension Office, so we can record it.
