Step One

learn more and choose a club icon

Before joining 4-H you may be wondering..."what is 4-H exactly?"  The "What is 4-H?" page and "What is Clover Kids" page on the Iowa 4-H website can answer that question!  The next step is deciding which Hamilton County 4-H club or Clover Kids group you would like to join.  You can choose a club based on location, age, or special interest or a Clover Kids group based on meeting dates, schools near you or the friends you have that are already enrolled!  To see a list of 4-H clubs in Hamilton County check out the club directory, or contact Brynna Baumhover, our County Youth Coordinator, who will be happy to assist you!  It is important that you also make contact with the 4-H club leaders, as they will give you specific information about the club such as meeting locations, dates/times, and club rules.

Step Two

In Hamilton County, 4-H and Clover Kids members are required to enroll on 4-H Online.  If you need help, there are help sheets and you can always contact our office! Thanks to the generous support of the Hamilton County Extension Council, NEW Coop Foundation and the Hamilton County 4-H Foundation, the $35 enrollment fee is completely sponsored for our 4th-12th grade 4-H members.  That means there is no cost to enroll in 4-H!  Our Clover Kids have a $30 enrollment fee to cover supply costs.  Some clubs may have a small club fee.  Check with your club leader to determine what, if any, club fees are due.
