Ask a Forester: Nature Walk - September 20, 2017

Waterloo – Now is the time to look a pruning some trees and bushes but not all should be pruned in the fall. To learn about proper tree care, identifying what a tree is and determining any hazards of your trees come to “Ask a Forester: Nature Walk” September 20th at 4:00pm. Meet Gabbi Edwards, an Urban Forester from Iowa State University Extension & Outreach at Katoski Greenbelt Park, 2413 W. Ridgeway Avenue in Waterloo.
 
Gabbi will lead a nature walk where participants will learn tree identification, proper planting and pruning methods, disease and pest symptoms, and more. Learn about trees while enjoying the great outdoors! Bring any questions you may have. Program discussion is led by participants, questions and what is observed on the walk.
 
This free program is a great opportunity to learn more about the trees, changes in leaves and answer questions you may have. Please join us Wednesday, September 20th at 4:00pm at Katoski Greenbelt Park on Ridgeway in Waterloo. This event is free and open to the public.
