General Information
- Annual 3-hour Commercial MAC certification is offered state-wide in January, with annual licensing/certification fees due by March 1st (expiration date of previous year's certification). Late fees applied after March 1st.
- Local training site is the Grundy County Extension Office at 703 F Ave, Suite 1; Grundy Center, IA 50638.
- Pre-registration is highly encouraged as space is limited to 12 attendees per session. Pre-registration cut-off for Grundy County is typically by 4:00pm the business day prior to a session. Walk-ins on the day of the program will only be accepted if space is available. Register by calling 319-824-6979.
- There is no cost to Grundy County ISU Extension and Outreach for training, all forms and costs are paid and submitted to the Iowa DNR upon completion of training.
- If you are unable to attend any of the scheduled dates for continuing instruction courses, please contact Grundy County Extension to set up a re-show appointment.

- Confinement Site Manure Applicator Certification is good for 3 calendar years (Year 1= initial certification/renewal, Years 2 & 3 = continuing education). If a continuing education year is missed, applicators will receive a letter from the DNR stating they need to take the exam to be eligible to re-certify. Please contact your DNR Field Office to take the exam.

The Dry Manure applicators hauling, applying, and handling dry/solid manure (typically beef feedlot or poultry litter) will certify with either COMMERCIAL or CONFINEMENT SITE certification programs, depending on which certification the applicator falls under.
