Awards & New Member Day is October 15th

Greene County 4-H Awards Day

Greene County 4-H’ers and volunteers will be recognized for their achievements and contributions at the annual Awards Ceremony, scheduled for Sunday, October 15 at John 15 Vineyard.  The public is welcome to join the celebration. Awards will recognize 4-H’ers for their achievements in a variety of project areas, from science and engineering to swine and poultry.  Over 45 4-H’ers submitted record books this year, documenting their work.  Meanwhile, leaders and adult volunteers who have served five, ten, 15, 20, 25, or more years in the 4-H program will receive much-deserved accolades. Local organizations and current or past volunteers will also be awarded for their time and promotion of the 4-H program.
This year’s activities include the new member program at 2:00 pm, followed by free yard games and putt-putt golf at 3:30..  The Youth Development Committee is sponsoring and preparing a picnic meal beginning at 5 pm and the Awards Ceremony will start at 6:00 p.m. Hyett encourages parents and youth interested in 4-H to take time to attend the awards ceremony and see the wonderful skills 4-H’ers are learning each year. John 15 Vineyard is located at 343 180th Street, Scranton.
