‘Stay Independent’ Nutrition and Wellness Program Coming to Jefferson
 
“Stay Independent: A Healthy Aging Series” is a nutrition and wellness program offered through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach for adults age 60 and older. The program begins June 3rd, 2020 and runs through June 24th, in Jefferson.
 
“Stay Independent” provides research-based information intended to help adults age 60 and older reduce their nutritional risk through lifestyle changes. “Each week you’ll take part in an interactive class discussion that includes hands-on activities and taste testing,” Ann Parker, Nutrition and Wellness Specialist for ISU Extension and Outreach, said. 
 
A four-week series is being offered Wednesday’s June 3-24, from 10:30-11:30 am at ISU Extension and Outreach-Greene County at 104 W Washington St, in Jefferson. Please plan to attend all four sessions.  This is a free program available to the first 9 registered participants.
