Then ISU Extension and Outreach’s Pickle Making and Pickled Products Workshop is for you! Come for this interactive, hands-on workshop Saturday, September 14th, 2019.

Healthy and Homemade Workshop Series

 

If you're looking for ideas on how to eat healthy and make the most of the time you spend in the kitchen, this workshop series is for you!  Join Ann Parker, ISU Extension and Outreach Human Sciences Specialist in Nutrition and Wellness for a three-part series scheduled for September 10th, 17th, and 24th from 5:30-6:30 pm at ISU Extension and Outreach- Greene County. 

Statewide Resources

  • Participate in these classes for child care providers focused on healthy, affordable food choices and physical activities for children. Department of Human Services-approved credit is available for those attending.

  • Buy. Eat. Live Healthy

    The Buy. Eat. Live Healthy is a free program that help parents provide nutritious food for their families, leading to healthy children and strong families

  • The number of overweight children (ages 6-11) has almost quadrupled in the past four decades and for adolescents (12-19) has tripled. This series of handouts is designed to help parents, communities, and childcare providers address the overweight issue.
