Women, Land, and Legacy to Host Peony Party

Women, Land & Legacy of Southwest Iowa will be hosting a Peony Party on Tuesday, May 21 at 6 PM.  The event will be held at A-1 Nursery, 2863 Fremont-Page Avenue, south of Shenandoah.

This event marks a great opportunity to see a local peony field in full bloom.  Kathleen Jones will share about her family’s experience with raising peonies as an alternative crop and offer tips for caring for one of nature’s most beautiful perennials.

A meal will be provided with time allowed for participants to connect with other women who share a passion for agriculture and the rural lifestyle.

The fee, used to offset program expenses, is $10 per person.  RSVPs are required, with a meal count needed by noon on Tuesday, May 14.  Registration is available online at https://iastate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8ojCywlMEi8NVbw.

Those interested are also welcome to register and/or request special accommodations by calling a local Iowa State University Extension & Outreach office.
