Ricochet Is Coming To Fremont County!

WHAT IS RICOCHET?

Ricochet is an ADVENTURE-BASED leadership development program!  “Ricochet” means to move around lively and energetically with some level of unpredictability – just like middle school students!  The ultimate goal of the program is for youth to see themselves as LEADERS in their communities.

Research shows that youth LEARN BY DOING, so the majority of the program is devoted to youth experiencing fun, challenging activities to develop their leadership skills.

Youth also connect with their community by identifying leaders for panel discussions and conducting COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP PROJECTS.

Ricochet was designed by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach youth specialists and based on research outlined in the book, Youth Leadership:  A Guide to Understanding Leadership Development in Adolescents by Josephine van Linden and Carl Fertman.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
