Local Scholarships Available to Graduating Seniors & Post-Secondary Students

Scholarship applications are being accepted for the following awards.
 

Fremont County 4-H Endowment Scholarship for GRADUATING SENIORS

This scholarship was established in 1993 after a generous donation from the Ellen Rice estate.  Involvement in Fremont County 4-H will be considered.  The evaluation committee reserves the right to ask the applicant for a personal interview if necessary.  Funds will be released following completion of the first semester of post-secondary education.  To qualify, applicants must:

  • Have been enrolled and participated in a 4-H program for at least four years including their junior and senior years of high school.   
  • Share financial information as indicated on the application form.
  • Include two letters of recommendation as indicated on the application form.  
  • Have a minimum high school GPA of 2.0.
  • Submit a completed application, including an original signature, by 4:30 p.m. on April 1, 2020.

McIntyre Scholarship for GRADUATING SENIORS

This scholarship was established, and is managed by the Jesse A. and Irene W. McIntyre family.  Scholarships are awarded at the Fremont County Fair, with a preference for one eligible boy and one eligible girl.  Qualifications include:

  • Must be a graduating senior living in Fremont County with at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Must have been enrolled and active in the Fremont County 4-H program for at least the last four years, including the year of graduation.
  • Must submit a completed application by 4:30 p.m. on April 1, 2020.
  • Must attend a one, two, or four-year post-secondary institution.

Fremont County 4-H Endowment Scholarship for STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION

This scholarship was established in 1993 after a generous donation from the Ellen Rice estate.  The evaluation committee reserves the right to ask the applicant for a personal interview if necessary.  Funds will be released following completion of the first semester of post-secondary education.  To qualify, applicants must:

  • Have been enrolled and participated in a 4-H program for at least four years including their junior and senior years of high school.   
  • Be enrolled in a post-secondary education program.
  • Share financial information as indicated on the application form.
  • Include one letter of recommendation and two referenced as indicated on the application form.  
  • Have a minimum college GPA of 2.0.
  • Submit a completed application, including an original signature, by 4:30 p.m. on April 1, 2020.
