Association of Iowa Fairs

  • Franklin County Fair:  July 15-19, 2020   (Fair has been cancelled except for 4-H/FFA entries only.) 
  • Iowa State Fair:  August 13-23, 2020    (As COVID-19 safety considerations have led to the postponement of the 2020 Iowa State Fair, a decision on 4-H youth learning exhibits is still underway.)

Our office will be closed to the public until further notice. Staff are still able to take your calls and respond to email. Many of our resources can be found online at our website www.extension.iastate.edu/franklin. If you need to drop something off you may use our drop box or leave it in the entryway. If you need to pick something up please call our office to make arrangements, 641-456-4811.

Clover Kids is a program designed to explore science, technology, healthy living, citizenship, leadership, art and communication. Participants will strengthen motor skills through a variety of experiments and crafts. This program is for youth that have completed grades K-3 to DISCOVER 4-H!

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS), provides training and certification programs for applicators in Iowa.  Fall classes will be available at the Franklin County Extension office, 3 First Ave NW, Hampton.
