This website is part of consumer and foodservice outreach activities of Iowa State University Extension. Funds for the creation of this site were provided by U.S. Department of Agriculture through funding to the Food Safety Consortium (based at the University of Arkansas) with a grant to Iowa State University ("Food Safety and Quality, Iowa Plan") and with support from Iowa State University Extension.

The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) is an agency within the U.S. Department of Agriculture, part of the executive branch of the Federal Government. Congress created NIFA through the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008.
