Our Kids Count partnering with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Floyd County will be holding Fun Family Nutrition Nights for 9 Thursdays evenings, Feb 21 - May 2.  Space is available for 10 families with children age 18 or younger or who are expecting.  Call 641-228-1453 to register.

In order to qualify for recertification by training, private applicators must attend a private continuing instructional course (P-CIC) for each training period beginning the first fall/winter following initial certification.  These dates are schedule for this training in Floyd County on 12/20/18, 1/9/19,  3/14/19 and last chance on 4/15/19.

This highly interactive three-session program is designed to help participants recognize the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease (PD), to understand what causes PD, and how treatments work. The program will also describe what therapeutic activities can be done in the home.
Each 45-minute session will be led by ISU Extension and Outreach Field Specialist, Brenda Schmitt,  who is a trained class leader.

 Congratulations to Bill Mead for being selected as the 2018 Floyd County Hall of Fame recipient.  He was honored at the Floyd County Fair.  We thank Bill  for all the years of service he has volunteered in support of the Floyd County 4-H program.
