We'll start with a tour of our garden greens which include kale, spinach, collards, mustard greens, Swiss chard and Asian greens as we talk about how to grow greens and protect them from pests. We'll end the night by learning why greens are so important in our diet and enjoy a tasty green salad. Presented in partnership with Renee Sweers, ISU Extension and Outreach Human Sciences Specialist in Nutrition and Wellness.

ISU Home Demonstration Garden Walk

Come take a tour of the ISU Home Demonstration Garden with Dr. Cindy Haynes, ISU Associate Professor of Horticulture. Learn about the interesting cultivars being grown this year in the "Vegetable Rainbow Garden." Vegetables from the garden will again be donated to area food pantries. As always, we will be serving local food treats!
