What's Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

The goal of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is to provide safe, effective, economical and environmentally sound pest management. We'll discuss how IPM involves using a combination of techniques to keep pests from overtaking your garden.

Tuesday Evening at the Garden: Veg Out with Greens in the Garden

Tuesday, June 19, 2018 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm

We'll start with a tour of our garden greens which include kale, spinach, collards, mustard greens, Swiss chard and Asian greens as we talk about how to grow greens and protect them from pests. We'll end the night by learning why greens are so important in our diet and enjoy a tasty green salad. Presented in partnership with Renee Sweers, ISU Extension and Outreach Human Sciences Specialist in Nutrition and Wellness.
