Area youth ages K-5 are invited to join the ISU Extension and Outreach Rising Star Interns for 3 FREE food education activities taking place throughout Lyon, Osceola, Dickinson, Sioux, O'Brien and Clay Counties this summer.
Youth participants will take part in hands-on activities to discover:
- how plants grow and flourish;
- how to easily and safely prepare fresh produce; and
- how to enjoy fruits and vegetables.
Youth who attend one 'Grow,' one 'Know,' AND one 'Whoa' event this summer will earn a prize! Youth can attend events in any county on any of the dates specified below.
GROW! Become a garden superstar! Youth will plant their own food and find out how to care for it.
