What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Usually my alarm clock, unless my daughter beats that. ? My family is what really gets me going and motivated every day.

How would you describe your job to a child?

I help farmers teach consumers about agriculture.

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

My kids! Building a family with my husband.

What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?

There is not really a typical day and that is one thing I love about my job! I have been spending a lot of time as part of the planning committee for the Iowa Specialty Producers Conference.

What are your biggest professional challenges?

Getting up in front of a crowd. I would much prefer to be “behind the scenes.”

What three words would you use to describe your role?

Resource, Communicator, Coordinator

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

My grandpa. He is 94 years old and full of wisdom. Faith, family, and farming have always been the most important things in his life and I have learned so much from him.

What do you like most about your job?

The people I work with and get to meet.

What is your motto or favorite quote?

Your greatest message will be spoken by your life, not your lips.

What’s your favorite blog or website? ? I do enjoy Pinterest and keeping up with bloggers on Instagram.

Given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

Someone that lives in a different country/culture than I am used to.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Starbucks/coffee drinks.
