Farm to school and early care conference is June 11

The 2021 Virtual Iowa Farm to School and Early Care Conference is Friday, June 11, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is free! Click here to register by June 10.
Teachers, early care professionals, food service staff, farmers, school garden coordinators and others are welcome. We will share ideas, resources and successes to grow the farm to school and early care movement in Iowa. This annual event is sponsored by the Iowa Farm to School and Early Care Coalition.
The one-day gathering will offer attendees engaging virtual sessions to support farm to school and early care efforts.

- 8 a.m.—Pre-conference videos on accessing the conference, and a welcome from Iowa ag secretary Mike Naig.
- 9 a.m. —A welcome from the coalition, and keynote from Stacy Dean, deputy undersecretary of the USDA Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services division.
- 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.—Various breakout sessions.
- 11:30 a.m.—Virtual field tour of DMACC Child Development Center’s farm to ECE garden.
