YQCA - Emmet County

Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) is a national multi-species quality assurance program for youth ages 8 to 21 with a focus on three core pillars: food safety, animal well-being, and character development.
4-H members who exhibit the following species — beef, goats, poultry, rabbits, sheep, swine — must be YQCA certified by JUNE 30.
YQCA Certification Options and Details:
Web-Based Training: Cost is $12, training is taken on youth’s own time
IF YOU ARE DOING THIS BETWEEN THE DATES OF APRIL 1 - APRIL 30 YOU CAN GET A 25% discount ($9 instead of $12).

Instructor-Led Training: Cost is FREE (thank you to the Emmet County 4-H Foundation)—contact the Extension office to receive a coupon code

Registration for Instructor-led Trainings is REQUIRED by the youth BEFORE the date of the training. If you need assistance with registering for an instructor-led or web-based training, please use the help sheet provided at the link below or contact the Extension Office.
