Facilitators Trained to Lead Juntos-Together for a Better Education Program

 Nancy Ramos, Career Pathway Navigator at Iowa Lakes Community College, Beto Hernendez, Enrollment Coach and International Student Coordinator at Iowa Lakes Community College, Britney Rosburg, Program Educator at Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Emmet County, and Mackenzie Johnson, Human Sciences Specialist in Family Life completed training to be a facilitator for Juntos-Together for a Better Education. The Juntos program brings together parents, middle school youth, school staff, and community partners to promote high school graduation and explore paths to higher education.
 
Over the course of five weeks, youth are encouraged to graduate from high school and to pursue a higher education, parents learn how to become more involved in youth’s education, families learn how to pay for higher education and understand the requirements to graduate from high school and enroll in higher education.
