Emmet County 4-H is home to 8 traditional 4-H clubs and 4 special interest clubs. Youth in grades 4-12 may join 4-H and choose a club based on location or interest.

Animals must be identified into 4HOnline by these deadlines in order to be exhibited at the fair.
- Market Beef IDs - Due February 1st
- Breeding Beef IDs - Due May 15th
- Horse IDs - Due May 15th
- Swine IDs - Due May 15th
- Sheep IDs - Due May 15th
- Goats IDs - Due May 15th
- Dog IDs - Due May 15th
- Rabbit IDs - Due July 1st
- Poultry IDs - Due July 1st
- Pets IDs - Due July 1st

- YQCA

Food and animal safety is one of animal producers' biggest responsibilities.
All 4-H livestock exhibitors who show beef, goats, sheep, swine, poultry, and rabbits are required to be YQCA certified to show at the County and State Fair.
2023 Instructor-Led (Face-to-Face) YQCA Trainings ($3 per person):
- June 5th, 9:00 am - 10:00 am, Immanuel Lutheran Church - Estherville
- June 12th, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Armstrong Public Library
Youth can also complete YQCA training online at anytime. The online version costs $12 per person.
