Beginning Beekeeper Course
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Lee County is hosting a Beginning Beekeeper Course on Saturday, February 23 and Saturday, March 9 from 8:00 am to noon at the Lee County Conservation Office in Montrose.
This 2-part course is open to all interested individuals and will be led by Southeast Iowa Beekeepers, Dave and Ray Tull.

Des Moines County Master Gardeners Awarded Grant for Donation Garden
The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Master Gardener program has announced 22 recipients of its Growing Together mini-grant program. This is the fourth year mini-grant funds have been available, with more than $50,000 in grant money from the SNAP-Education program being distributed across the state.
The projects are focused on increasing food security and promoting healthy food access throughout Iowa.
