The state of Iowa has specific laws and regulations related to food that is prepared at home and sold direct to consumers. This workshop includes both online and face-to-face sessions that will guide you through regulations and the best food safety practices to ensure safe handling of your product from the kitchen to the point of sale. This workshop is open to anyone ages 18 years or older.

This workshop is offered in two forms. Please indicate during registration which form of the course interests you. The two course options include:
1) In-person workshop (only): offers participants a full in-person lecture style option of all 6 modules. Participants are instructed to arrive at 8:00 am.
2) Blended online and in-person workshop: offers participants a blended option which includes viewing Module 1 online prior to the in-person training as well as in-person lecture style option for modules 2-6. Participants are instructed to arrive at 9:00 am.

Certificate of attendance and completion will be provided to participants who have attended and completed the workshop series. This training is not a certification program.
