Mauve hybrid tea. The large, ovoid-pointed buds of bluishlavender (RHSCC 97D) tinted champagne (RHSCC 1 64D) open to double (30-35 petals), cupped, open, 4.5-5 inch blooms of blue-lavender (RHSCC 97D) which take on silver tones with age. The blooms are borne in clusters of 3-5 and have an intensely sweet fragrance. The abundant, large foliage is dark green (RHSCC I 37A) and leathery. The thorns are tan and awl-like. The erect, bushy, 3-3.5 ft plant is moderately vigorous and blooms continually from June until killing frost. Plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.
