Medium pink shrub. The pointed-ovoid buds of rose red (RHSCC 58B) open to double (15-25 petals), cupped, open, 4-4.5 inch blooms of rose bengal (RHSCC 61 C) which retain their color until the petals drop. The blooms are borne in clusters of 1 - 1 0 and have a pleasant, light, spicy fragrance. The abundant, leathery foliage is dark green (RHSCC 137A) tinted with copper and has good tolerance to foliar disease. The thorns are tan and awl-like. The erect, bushy, vigorous plant is spreading and in continual bloom from June until killing frost. Plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.
