Pink blend shrub. The medium-small, ovoid-pointed buds open to double (25-30 petals), open, 3.5-4 inch blooms of light claret rose (RHSCC SOC) stippled with rose red (RHSCC 58B) on the petal face with carmine on the petal reverse and aging to light carmine rose (RHSCC 52D). The blooms are borne in clusters of 5-25 and have a spicy fragrance. The abundant, medium-large foliage is dark green (RHSCC I 39A) and leathery. The thorns are tan and awl-like. The bushy plant is upright to spreading and freeflowering from June until killing frost. Plants are winter-hardy in Iowa to 8-10" without protection.
