Orange pink shrub. The medium-large, ovoid-pointed buds of current red (RHSCC 47B) over yellow ground buds open to double (25-30 petals), slightly cupped, open, 4-4.5 inch blooms which are a blending of nasturtium red (RHSCC 32C), Delft rose (RHSCC 47C) and empire rose (RHSCC 48D). The blooms are borne in clusters of 1-8 and have a sweet fragrance. The abundant, leathery foliage is dark green with coppery tints and has good field resistance to foliar disease. The thorns are brown-tan and awl-like. The moderately vigorous, erect plant is bushy and blooms continually from June until killing frost. The plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.
