Orange blend grandiflora. The medium-sized, ovoid-pointed buds open to double (30-35 petals), shallow-cupped, 4-4.5 inch blooms of spinel red RHSCC 54B, washed and tinted with light Saturn red (RHSCC 30C). The blooms, borne singly and in clusters of 5-10, have an intense, sweet fragrance. The abundant, glossy foliage is dark coppery green. The thorns are red-brown and awl-like. The upright plants are bushy and bloom freely from early June to killing frost. The plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.
