Deep pink shrub. Ovoid, medium-sized, rose red buds open to cupped, double rose-red flowers which age lighter. Flowers are borne several together on medium, strong stems and have a good lasting quality. Petals drop off cleanly and have a moderate clove scent. The foliage is abundant, dark green and leathery. The plants are erect, spreading, bushy to 60-75 cm. and in profuse bloom from late May to killing frost. The plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.
