Medium pink shrub. The large, ovoid-pointed buds are carmine rose (RHSCC 52C) opening to double (35-40 petals), high-centered, 4-5 inch blooms of lighter carmine rose (RHSCC 52D). The blooms are borne in clusters of 5-10 and have a damask-like fragrance. The abundant, medium-sized foliage is olive green foliage and moderately resistant to disease. The thorns are tan and awl-like. The erect, 3-4.5 ft, bushy plant blooms abundantly from early June until killing frost. The plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.
