Mt. Pleasant, Iowa – Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Henry, Lee, Louisa and Des Moines Counties will offer the Iowa Master Conservationist Program starting on October 6. The program will take place online due to COVID-19 restrictions. Participants will experience a mix of online modules, interactive Zoom meetings featuring local conservation experts and be provided with a list of locations in our 4 county region they can visit on their own to supplement their learning. The program teaches about Iowa’s natural ecosystems and the diversity of conservation challenges and opportunities that exist in our area. Graduates of the course learn to make informed choices for leading and educating others to improve conservation in Iowa.
