Dallas County Pasture Walk Set for Sept. 28

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Dallas County is hosting a pasture walk on Sept. 28 at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held at the DMACC Farm, 25747 N Avenue, just north of Adel on Highway 169. This event is for anyone interested in learning more about soil fertility, weed management and cattle grazing.
ISU Extension and Outreach Beef Specialist Chris Clark and Field Agronomist Meaghan Anderson will discuss rotational grazing, pasture management during drought, and cover crops for forage.  They also will talk about frost seeding and interseeding as ways to improve pasture following a droughty growing season.
