MOU Renewal Committee: Meeting Summary, September 20, 2022

The meeting started with a presentation from Regenea Hurte, DEI advisor, who shared information related to specific language to include in the MOU from the USDA/NIFA requirements related to non-discrimination, meeting parity, and providing accommodations.
 
The committee discussed the findings from the Addendum A, Models 1, 2, and 3 work groups. The group indicated more information needs to be shared about the relationship, roles, and responsibilities between the county director and regional director. In addition, suggestions were made to add the role of the director of field operations, define what administrative support is provided for the regional director, and list human resources support to the system resources and tools section on page 7.
 
At the next meeting, Vice President John Lawrence and Assistant Vice President Andrea Nelson will provide a draft of the shared support services fee estimate and a revised copy of Addendum A for Models 1, 2, and 3.
 
The next meeting is October 11. After the meeting, Vice President Lawrence plans to distribute the revised MOU to councils and staff to provide comment prior to November 15.
