The Iowa Government Finance Initiative (IGFI) provides educational resources, technical assistance, and training in the broad area of government finance to Iowa communities. The goals of the initiative are to:
- improve understanding of government finance within the context of planning and economic development
- build efficiencies within the governmental system toward effective outcomes relating to quality of life and local economic conditions to make Iowa communities more resilient and fiscally sustainable
- provide an opportunity for interested Iowans and other stakeholders to better understand their local governments

Workshop fees range from $65 to $75.
