Customer Service and Community Tourism Strategies  Welcoming employee at Work of Our Hands in Pella, IA

Through this two-hour workshop, business managers, front line staff, and community leaders will learn how to implement the two key components of customer service to strengthen their tourism economy:

  1. Community - How to inspire more travelers to stop, stay longer, and keep returning to your community.
  2. Businesses - How to attract visitors to your business, and build your customer base through excellent customer service.

Through workshop presentations, activities and discussion, participants will learn the 5 Steps of Excellent Customer Service, and hear how successful businesses create a customized service culture.

Workshop Participants: This workshop is open to all community residents, but is especially designed for small business managers, community tourism leaders, and front line staff who interact with community visitors--including retail, restaurants, convenience stores, attractions, and lodging.
