1732 4-H & FFA Exhibits Entered for 2020 Achievement Show


283 Clayton County 4-H and FFA members have entered 1732 exhibits for the county competition to be held August 4-9 according to Tammy Muller, County 4-H & Youth Program Coordinator.   Earlier this year the Clayton County Agricultural Society postponed the 166th Clayton County Fair until 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions and safety concerns. Clayton County Extension and Outreach has put together an alternative for county fair.
Entries are at 60% from the previous years with Horses and Poultry entries showing an increase.
The exhibits that will be displayed include:

Swine (22 non-derby pens, 72 non-derby individuals, 17 breeding gilts)
Sheep (4 market pens, 11 market individuals, 23 breeding sheep)
Horses (51 halter classes, 69 performance classes, 83 timed events)
Meat Goats (34 breeding, 27 market)
11 Dairy Goats
Dogs (43 agility, 31 obedience)
