Bucket of Junk Challenge

Join us for this super fun challenge of welding and/or creating your own structure from what will be found in your “Bucket of Junk”.  Demco Manufacturing is offering additional premiums of $30 for 1st Place, $20 for the 2nd Place and $10 for 3rd place as well as plasma cut plaques.  Buckets of junk will be available soon and their availability will be announced in the Clover Notes.

Block-Out Challenge

Are you looking for educational fun for club meetings, a club project, or just as an individual? Then look no further and sign up for the fun and exciting Block-Out Challenge.  The Block Out Challenge fabric packets, for a club or an individual, are ready for pick up.  Sewing tips and suggestions for better constructed blocks are also included in the packet.  This year the awards will be $25 for 1st place, $15 for 2nd place and $10 for 3rd place after being judged for creativity, design and composition during Achievement Fair.

Clay County 4-H Hall of Fame Nominations Sought

Clay County 4-H is seeking nominations for the 2019 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame Inductee.  The Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame honors 4-H volunteers, supporters and pioneers who have made a significant contribution to the Iowa 4-H Youth Development Program. Nominations must be received by May 1, 2019, in the form of a letter or email to the Clay County Extension Office, 110 West 4th Street, Suite 100, Spencer.

Now Hiring: Youth Program Summer Assistant

The Youth Program Summer Assistant supports Iowa State University Extension and Outreach with the preparation and delivery of summer educational programs. Primary responsibilities include support and coordination of K-12 youth programs, especially in relation to Clay County Youth Fair preparation as part of the 4-H Youth Development Program in Clay County to improve the effectiveness and efficient delivery of programming to the citizens and youth of Clay County.
