YQCA Training options in Clay County


Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) is a national multi-species quality assurance program for youth ages 8 to 21 with a focus on three core pillars: food safety, animal well-being, and character development. ALL youth exhibiting any beef, sheep, meat goats, swine, poultry or rabbits at the Clay County Fair, Iowa State Fair or Ak-Sar-Ben MUST satisfy this requirement by June 30.
Options for 2018
1. Face to face instructor led training will be Thursday, May 24 from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm at the 4-H Exhibit Building on the Clay County Fairgrounds. Cost $3.00 to attend. Fee to attend a Training -
Families can contact the Clay County Extension Office (712-262-2264) before they register for the face to face training to obtain a $3.00 coupon code. The $3.00 coupon code is valid one time and is unique to each 4-H member. The $3.00 coupon code is only good for an instructor led face to face training. Coupon codes are also available for the online training. Coupon codes are first come first served.
