Community Compassion

Cross with ribbons awarded

The Clay County 4-H Youth Development Program is combining citizenship and compassion by again hosting the “Community Compassion” event during the Clay County Fair. Clay County 4-Hers will have the opportunity to grow in compassion and to help others by donating one of their own human sciences exhibits.
All of the participating 4-Her’s exhibits will be displayed in a silent auction setting in the 4-H Exhibit Building during the Clay County Fair.  The participating Clay County 4-H Clubs will choose one charitable organization to sponsor where 50% of the auction proceeds are donated to the chosen charity.   The remaining 50% of the proceeds were split between the Clay County 4-H Endowment and the 4-H club itself.  Each participating 4-H exhibitor will also receive a special “community compassion” ribbon following the judging process.
Please join the fun and participate in the Clay County Community Compassion event by reminding your Club Leader to participate or by calling the Clay County Extension Office at 262-2264.
