The Clay County Extension Council has purchased land located at 1515 W. 18th Street, Spencer. We will construct a new building there that will include a community meeting room for up to 100 people, a gathering area for up to 15 people and workspace for 10 county and state staff.
The new facility will provide a valuable community resource for all of Clay County. It will allow us to serve more people more effectively through a larger conference room and meeting area, and a more efficiently-designed space.
The new facility will support growth in programs and services provided to all Clay County residents - families, youth, those in agriculture and economic development, and business and industry partners.
It will be a professional and welcoming space for clients, visitors and community members.
The ISU Extension and Outreach Clay County office will provide for economic development supported by ISU Extension and Outreach, and offer a facility for business, community, county, youth and family interests.
