Philosophy for 4-H Record Keeping
Achieving goals through 4-H Record Keeping (Making goals action, result, and timetable based)

Cedar County 4-H'ers are encouraged to develop a record keeping system that includes five parts: 

  1. Title Page (current photo, name, club, county, age, grade and 4-H year)
  2. Table of Contents 
  3. Yearly 4-H Summary (4H 0096) or a 4-H Story
  4. Project Records

    1. Any Project Area (choose one based off years involved in a project area)

      1. Basic 4-H Project Record (4H 0096A)
      2. Experienced 4-H Project Record (4H 0096B)
      3. Advanced 4-H Project Record (4H 0096C)
    2. Livestock Project Area Forms
    3. Additional Project Area Forms

      1. Shooting Sports Project Record
      2. Vegetable Garden Project Worksheet
      3. Crop Production Project Worksheet
      4. Photography Project
  5. 4-H Member Self Evaluation

 
 

Annual Achievement Award Applications (SeniorIntermediateJunior)

Once the County Fair is over - it time to think about completing your record keeping.  You can find information you need below.  All record keeping to be considered for awards are due to the Extension Office by 4pm the first Friday of September (September 4, 2020).  Final deadline for all other record keeping is the last Friday in September (September 25, 2020) to remain active member status and to be eligible to exhibit at the following Cedar County Fair.
Please check out this link to find out more about 4-H Record Keeping!  It is a very important part of 4-H and a requirement for active membership in Cedar County 4-H.  However, Record Keeping can be completed in a variety of ways.  Do keep in mind the how your record keeping will be evaluated by referencing the Evaluation Form below.  Your records are an key part of being able to take a look back on your 4-H journey in years to come.

These are forms are another option to use for your records.  These are the forms suggested to use in prior years.  You may choose to complete your records using the forms / methods that make sense to you.
Picture Page - a new page each year for all members
Summary Page - a new page each year for all members (.doc file)
Junior Record Keeping - for members in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade - this should be completed for each project area you are keeping records on. 
Junior Livestock Financial Form - for members in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade who are keeping records on a livestock project area.
Junior Non Livestock Financial Form - for members in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade who are keeping records on a non livestock project area.
Intermediate Record Keeping - for members in 7th and 8th grade.- this should be completed for each project area you are keeping records on.
Intermediate Livestock Financial Form - for members in 7th and 8th who are keeping records on a livestock project area.
Senior Record Keeping - for members in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade - this should be completed for each project are you are keeping records on.
Senior Livestock Financial Form - for members in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade who are keeping records on a livestock project area.

Intermediate and Senior Non Livestock Financial forms are part of the Record keeping forms.
