Clover Buds

Clover Buds is a fun, hands-on after school program for Kindergarten-3rd graders offered by ISU Extension and Outreach. Throughout the 4 session program, youth are encouraged to discover, explore and learn. This year’s program has a theme of “STEM Across Iowa.” Participants will be given the opportunity to explore facts about Iowa through STEM challenges and fun books.
The registration fee for Clover Buds is $20 per person which includes a t-shirt and snacks at each session. Pre-registration is required online at or can be done at the Boone County ISU Extension and Outreach Office at 1327 SE Marshall Street in Boone. Participants must be registered at least five days prior to the first session of their desired group.
Details for the different Clover Buds groups are as follows:

  • Ogden - FULL - will meet in the Howe Elementary School Cafeteria on Mondays in February from 3:20-5:00 pm
  • Sacred Heart - will meet in the Sacred heart School Lunch Room on Mondays in April from 3:15-5:00 pm
  • United - will meet in the United Community School Cafeteria on Tuesdays in April from 3:15-5:00 pm
