FEE is $15 paid to Black Hawk County Extension, In Black Hawk County, students K-3rd grade can become a Clover Kids at no cost. Youth 4th-12th grade can join for $15.00, thanks to the support of the annual Omelet Breakfast event. Financial Aid is available.

A one day Trip! July 10th

4-H’er in grades 6-8, join us for one day adventure to central Iowa! Our adventure includes stops at:

• 1913 Antique Carousel in Story City

• Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad in Boone

• James H. Andrew Railroad Museum & History Center in Boone

• Bio-tech lab at Iowa State University in Ames


4-H members are invited from Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Clayton and Fayette Counties! Open to all 4-H members currently in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. 

Complete the registration form and return with camp fee to the Black Hawk County Extension Office. Space is limited.


Registration fee is $100.00* and is due by April 30, 2021 **Registration fee increases $20 after April 30. *For more information on scholarships to defray costs, please contact the Black Hawk County Extension Office at 319-234-6811. Or email Diane at

Join in the fun with Chickasaw and Black Hawk County 4-H!  Participate in either county's Facebook Live reading of children's books about agriculture, the author’s online reading of the book, OR read your own children's book about the topic.  Then mark off the correct book on the form that it has been read.  Once you have marked all of the books, turn the Read Across Iowa Map check off form to the Black Hawk County Extension Office BEFORE April 1st to get entered into the raffle for books and goodies the first week of April!
