Iowans have a chance to brush up on their money management skills during Money Smart Week April 5-12, 2014. Financial institutions, government agencies, not-for-profit organizations and community groups have teamed up to offer a full week of events designed to help Iowans of all ages better manage their finances.

Margaret Van Ginkel, coordinator for Iowa Concern hotline – a service made available through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, recommends actions that help prevent stress from taking over your life. Most important is to talk out your problems.

Iowans have a chance to brush up on money management skills during the 12th annual Money Smart Week, April 20-27. Special events and classes will be offered in Council Bluffs, Creston, Harlan, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque and the Quad Cities.

Money Smart Week includes activities in Council Bluffs, Creston, Harlan, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque and the Quad Cities. Iowa's Money Smart Investor Conference is Saturday, April 21, in Des Moines at Drake University Olmstead Center.
