October 20, 2020

Iowa State University and Outreach Audubon County office will host an Ornamental and Turfgrass Applicators Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators Wednesday, November 4, 2020. The program provided by the ISU Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) can be seen at office locations across Iowa.

The local attendance site is the Audubon County Extension Office. Due to social distancing requirements preregistration is required. Walk-ins on the day of the program will only be admitted if room allows.  The course runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m.  The registration fee is $35 on or before Oct. 28 and $45 after Oct. 28. To register or to obtain additional information about the CIC, contact Abby VanAernam at the ISU Extension and Outreach Audubon County office at 712-563-4239.

October 12, 2020

October 5, 2020

Audubon County 4-H will once again be sponsoring a supply drive for the Ronald McDonald House of Des Moines. During the week of October 4-10, items can be dropped off at the library or Exchange State Bank in Exira, Audubon State Bank, and Audubon Food Land. Items can be dropped off at the Audubon County Extension Office at 608 Market Street in Audubon during the entire month of October.

October 5, 2020

Audubon County 4-H members will work together during the afternoon of Thursday, November 5th (weather permitting) to help our neighbors needing assistance with their yard work tasks. If you live in Audubon County and need help with simple tasks such as raking leaves, clearing gardens or flower beds, picking up sticks or walnuts, small painting jobs, or moving patio furniture, please call the Audubon County Extension Office (712-563-4239) before Tuesday, October 27 to be added to our list.

September 15, 2020

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will provide virtual Mental Health First Aid trainings throughout fall 2020. Attendees will gain tools for reaching out and providing support to someone who might be struggling with a mental health and/or substance use problem.
