Ames, Iowa — The 15th Annual Iowa 4-H Foundation Central Iowa Golf Benefit, “Going for the Green,” is July 18 at Wakonda Club in Des Moines. This annual event benefits Iowa 4-H youth and other youth programs throughout the state.
This golf outing is sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, Firestone, John Deere and Successful Farming.
At this year’s tournament, participants will have the opportunity to compete in a best ball tournament with a chance to win team and individual prizes, said Albert Grunenwald, associate director of the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Eric Heft, a former ISU basketball player and current data analyst for the Cyclone Radio Network, will be the celebrity golfer. An evening social and benefit auction featuring sports packages, romantic date nights, vacation getaways and more will follow the golfing event, Grunenwald said.
Event details and team and individual registration are available at www.iowa4hfoundation.org/centralgolf.
