College Scholarship
Loras College in Dubuque, IA is now accepting scholarship applications specifically from 4-H youth in Eastern Iowa. Check out the Meehan Scholarship for more information. Deadline to apply is Dec. 1, 2019.
Iowa 4-H Foundation Scholarships February 1, 2020 (updated November 2019)
Iowa 4-H Foundation scholarship applications for the 4-H scholarship program are available November through February 1.  4-H memebers are strongly encouraged to read and follow the helpful hints and instructions that are on the 4-H Foundation Scholarship webpage. Hixson Opportunity Awards Deadline January 1, 2020 (updated November 2019)
The Hixson Opportunity Award is a half-tuition grant (estimated value of more than $15,000 over eight semesters) to be used at Iowa State University. One hundred high school seniors from across Iowa will receive the award each year. Ideally, recipients will represent each county in the state. If you are a high school senior who demonstrates potential in ways that go beyond class rankings and test scores, you may wish to apply.  Application deadline is January 1, 2020. Allamakee County Master Gardener Scholarship, February 28, 2020 (updated November 2019)
Deadline to apply is February 28, must have application and letter of recommendation turned in. 
The Allamakee County Master Gardeners are offering a $200 scholarship for anyone who is majoring in the field study related to; Arboriculture, horticulture, floriculture, landscape design/architecture, turf management, orchard management, and/or related subjects.  Applicants must be a current Allamakee County High School graduating senior who will be attending school in the Fall of 2020.  One scholarship will be awarded annually.

Deadline to apply is March 1, must have application turned in with all needed attachments.
The Allamakee 4-H Scholarship Committee will award the.  Recipients will be notified by March 31 on their selection.
The following items are required for completion of Allamakee 4-H scholarship applications. You must meet the following criteria and submit requested forms to be eligible.
 
1.     A completed Allamakee 4-H College Scholarship Application Form and return to the Extension Office with 4-H Record Book.
2.     Two letters of support from: a) a school advisor or teacher, b) community member or an adult 4‑H volunteer, relative to leadership, citizenship and character of the applicant.
3.     Participate in a brief interview. (Tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 2020)
4.     You must be a graduating senior in the current year.
5.     You must be a current Allamakee County 4-H member with a history of exhibiting at the Allamakee County Fair and your membership must run consecutively for at least 3 years.

Allamakee County Dairy Promotion Board Scholarship, March 1, 2020 (Updated November 2019)
The Allamakee County Dairy Promotion Board is sponsoring a scholarship for residents of Allamakee County.  They may be a high school senior (enrolling in Dairy Science or an Agriculture Field of Study) or a college student who is currently enrolled in Dairy Science or an Agriculture Field of Study.  The amount of the each scholarship depends on the number and quality of applicants, up to $500 will be awarded.  Scholarship Guidelines & Application

IAS Scholarship deadline January - April 2019
Innovative Ag Services acknowledges the rising costs of post-secondary education and extends a helping hand to high school graduating seniors. Yearly, Innovative Ag Services presents multiple scholarships to high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in the agriculture industry.
High School seniors have from January till the beginning of April to submit the application and complete the essay. A board of judges will review all applications and essays to determine the winners of each scholarship. The winners will receive the scholarship money at the end of the current calendar year, once college validations have been completed.

Will be available in December.
Every year, Foremost Farms awards up to 10 scholarships of $2,000 each to member-owners or the children of member-owners who are pursuing a career in the agricultural field. The Agricultural Education scholarships are sponsored by the Foremost Farms USA Charitable Foundation, which hosts a Cow-lege Cash™ Scholarship Golf Classic annual fundraiser.

Allamakee County Conservation Foundation Offer Scholarships to Area Seniors April 1, 2020
The Allamakee County Conservation Foundation (ACCF) is offering a scholarship opportunity for graduating seniors from an Allamakee County school who will be attending a college or university pursuing a degree in natural resources or a related field.  One $500 scholarship will be offered to a senior from each of the High Schools in Allamakee County; Postville, Allamakee Community, and Eastern Allamakee School Districts.
Students who would like to apply for the scholarship are encouraged to visit www.allamakeecountyconservation.org or the Driftless Area Education and Visitors Center for an application.  Applications will be accepted until April 1, and recipients will be notified by May 1.

There are thirty (30) scholarships available to freshman entering any Iowa two- or four-year post-secondary institution this fall and twenty-seven (27) scholarships available to current undergraduates attending Iowa State University.  Applicants must major in animal science or a curriculum in agriculture or human sciences that is related to the agriculture industry. Winners will be announced during the Iowa State Fair annual 4‑H/FFA Sale of Champions.
