Local Foods

The local foods team supports resilient food systems and healthy communities through research, education, and community engagement with diverse partners. Our team members, located both on and off-campus, provide: leadership and professional development for food systems practitioners statewide; research-based, needs-driven tools and publications on local foods-related topics; data-driven evaluation for community partners on the impacts of their work; support for youth education around local foods, including serving as state partner for FoodCorps Iowa; and networking opportunities for diverse state partners building local foods systems.
