This page contains the official constitution to Iowa State University Collegiate 4-H.
As Iowa 4-H’ers’ parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other compassionate adult family members, you are the foundation upon which your child’s healthy growth and development depend, and you play a natural role in providing consistent opportunities for 4-H children and youth to learn by doing.
Join today! 4-H is a community of 6 million young people across the world who are learning how to live healthily, be leaders, become engaged in their communities, and use science and technology to make good decisions for their future and their communities’ future.
The purpose of 4-H recordkeeping is to teach how to keep records, which is an important life skill. Recordkeeping is an ongoing process that does not end when the 4-H year ends. Youth are encouraged to select from a variety of alternatives to meet their individual recordkeeping needs and learning styles.
4-H youth programs provide opportunities for youth to develop skills they can use throughout their life. Iowa 4-H builds upon a century of experience as it fosters positive youth development that is based on the needs and strengths of youth, their families, and communities.
You can help your child's Clover Kid group or start one of your own! We will give you the information, training, and other help to get you started. All volunteers must go through a background screening and attend training. Contact your county Extension office to get started.
The purpose of this is to promote children’s positive development through cooperative learning and developmentally appropriate practices. To provide opportunities for K-3 youth to practice 5 life skills: self-understanding, social interaction, decision-making, learning to learn, and mastering physical skills.
The 4-H Healthy Living Retreat will take place at Clover Woods 4-H Camp. This event is for youth in grades 8-12 to learn more about the areas of wellness and wellbeing. They will experience workshops, large group activities and discussions to help identify their spark and learn how they can follow their passion to improve the health of their communities across Iowa.
Iowa AmeriCorps 4-H Environmental Education is a new program focused on engaging youth mentally and physically with the outdoors. Almost half of all youth do not exercise daily, and two thirds spend over two hours per day on a screen. Our team of AmeriCorps members seek to reconnect children with the environment, help them experience the natural world, and understand their surroundings.
Every June, almost 900 teenagers converge on the campus of Iowa State University for 3 days full of speakers, workshops, mixers, dances, a banquet, and community service activities.
Please join us in June for the most incredible three days of your life at the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference!
InventSTEM is a new Iowa 4-H program for youth in grades 4-12 that encourages youth to engage in the innovation process to solve real-world problems.
